Occupational Therapy

RCOT describes the role of an occupational therapist is to “ help people of all ages overcome the effects of disability caused by illness, ageing or accident so that they can carry out everyday tasks or occupations”


Occupational therapists are person centred, holistic practitioners who consider an individuals’ physical, psychological, social and environmental needs.  In addition to completing assessments and agreeing bespoke interventions with clients they work collaboratively with other health professionals to coordinate and optimise care delivery. They also work closely with clients family/ care providers to provide support and training.
